Following Pages: Immediate Alerts for Updates on Your Ancestors

08 Mar 2012

Today the Mocavo team is thrilled to announce that we’re, once again, advancing the way you research your family history. Sometimes you find that perfect page. You know what we’re talking about: the one with amazing, never before seen information about your long lost ancestor that you’ve been researching forever. When you find a goldmine like this, you’re going to want to know immediately when more information is available, when updates are made, etc. Now you can.

Introducing Page Follows. Now, when you find that perfect, information-rich page, all you have to do is click “Follow” on the Mocavo tool bar and it’ll be added to your collection of followed pages. Then, as soon as that page is updated with more information about your ancestor, we’ll let you know immediately, making you research that much easier. This feature is only available for pages for now, and will not work on records such as the SSDI search.

In addition to this incredible (and free) new feature, following a page also allows Mocavo to learn more about who you’re searching for. The more we know, the more we can help you break down those tricky brick walls you’ve been struggling with.

So go ahead, give it a shot! A great place to start is to follow all the pages you’ve already marked with “The Person I’m Looking For” tag. Happy searching!
